Exclamation I just got some info on...

My potential client wants a website layout with no coding

they sent me something they would like it to look like
ive designed layouts but never had a client how much should
i charge

Reply to him telling him that you don't do flash layouts as the one he showed you is a full flash site otherwise it'll get confusing for the both of you. Then take it from there. Show him examples of sites you can do for a visual aid lol.

As for charging. Calculate the amount of hours needed (Set a rough guide as to how much you want per hour on how much experience you've got and how good your work is) then calculate how many programs you'll have to go through and add an extra amount onto the price for each program. Then calculate how many hours you're going to spend faffing around with the client via the emails. Add it on. That's how I'd do it. For a guide. Then either tell him a set rate or an hourly rate.

For comparison: A professional who does this full time in freelance usually gets paid $80 p/hr minimum - no one in here is on that level though really.
